Narrative
Eva P. Grant
BLUFF CITY - Eva Whitaker Pilkin Grant, 72, of 1041 Mount Holston Road, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late James and Mollie Burton Whitaker and was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. She had formerly worked in the health field and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include sons, Ernie Pilkin and wife ShelChuckey,ia of Bristol Tennessee, and Randy Allen Grant and wife Linda of Chucky, Tenn.; daughter, Phyllis Grant Lingerfelt and husband Stanley of Bluff City; sisters, Billie Callahan of Bristol Tennessee, and Dorothy Warren of Bristol Virginia; brother, Charles (Buck) Whitaker; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Douglass Grant; and brother, James Buddy Whitaker.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 8 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Cosby and Rev. E.W. Ely officiating. Committal services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Crumley Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Ronnie Callahan, Steve Callahan, Mike Callahan, Scott Grant, Travis Grant and Jamie Clowers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 p.m. prior to the service.
